John F. Milmine

John F. Milmine, 97, of Angola, Indiana passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Angola, Indiana.

He was an Engineer Assistant for the Indiana State Highway Department for 23 years, retiring in 1987.

He was a long time member of the Salem Center Presbyterian Church in Steuben County, Indiana and Angola Moose Lodge #1568.

He served his country in the US Air Corp and was a member of the Orland American Legion.

John was born March 17, 1917 in Chicago, IL to John and Mable (Walker) Milmine.  He married Mildred Brown on April 3, 1943.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law James and Helen Milmine of Angola, Indiana; two granddaughters Melissa (Larry) Koza of Angola, Indiana and Janette (Brian) Harmes of Angola, Indiana; and four great-grandchildren Lindsey Koza, Morgan Koza, Cole Harmes and Madelyn Harmes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mildred Milmine on May 5, 1972; his granddaughter Brenda Sue Milmine; his great-granddaughter Ella Harmes and two sisters Claire Pyle and Dorothy Burt.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 PM, Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the Salem Center Presbyterian Church, 3935 S. 800 W., Hudson, Indiana with Pastor Bill Hambright officiating.

Visitation will be from 1-2:30 PM prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be given in John’s name to the Salem Center Presbyterian Church.
