Josephine La Vine Obituary
Josephine “Jo” La Vine, age 86, of Highland, IN, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021. She is survived by her sons Chris (Christy) and Matt; grandchildren, Ashley (Nick) Cantilena, Mark (Sammy), and Ben; great grandchild, Addison. Proceeding her in death is her beloved husband, Glen “Bud”, son, Michael “Mike”, and parents Louis and Julia DeRosa.
Jo was a proud graduate of Albion College and taught school in Angola, Munster and Merrillville, IN. She married Bud La Vine in December of 1956 in Angola, IN. Shortly thereafter Bud and Jo moved to the Calumet Region to raise their 3 sons. She was a lifelong member of St. James parish in Highland. She enjoyed reading, traveling, fishing and spending time with family and friends. She dedicated her life to her family, faith and community. She will be missed.
Visitation will be held at Weicht Funeral Home, 207 N. West St., Angola, IN 46703 on Saturday April 24, 2021 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
