Karen Rae (Harney) Holman

Karen Rae Holman, 81, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2025, at her home.

Karen was born on October 13, 1943, in Greencastle, Indiana to Herbert Leon and Marjorie Lea (Fritts) Whiker.  She graduated from Roachdale High School, Roachdale, Indiana.

Karen married Marvin R. Holman on October 24, 1998.

She had worked as a secretary at RR Donnelly in Angola, Indiana from October 1960 to June 1966.  She retired from Purdue University, where she worked in collections, on October 31, 2003.

Surviving are her husband, Marvin R. Holman of Angola, Indiana and her daughter, Tammy (Don Moran) Myers of Rayville, Missouri.  Also surviving are her three grandchildren, Josalyn Thompson, Jason (Jennifer) Thompson and Jordan Thompson and one great-grandson, Waylon Henry-James Thompson.

She was preceded by parents and her brother, Don Harney, on December 5, 2024.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, April 25, 2025, at Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana with Michael L. Hesterman officiating.

Visitation will be from 10-11 AM, Friday April 25, 2025, at the funeral home prior to the service.

Burial will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Indiana.
