Clear Lake, Fremont

Kenneth David Eichler, 86, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at his home at Clear Lake in Fremont, Indiana.

He was born March 14, 1931 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Alfred and Mildred (Bauermeister) Eichler.  He grew up in Ossian, Indiana where he graduated from Ossian High School.  He married Gloria Baker on September 4, 1955.

Kenneth co-owned and operated All Service Electric.

He was a member of the Clear Lake Lutheran Church and the Clear Lake Lions Club.

Kenneth served his country in the US Air Force.

Surviving is his son, David (Lisa) Eichler of Fremont, Indiana; two daughters, Renee (Jim) Burlage of Columbia City, Indiana and Tracy (Roger) Creager of Angola, Indiana; brother, Larry (Joan) Eichler of Ossian, Indiana; sisters, Peg Meek of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Carolyn (Ed) Weisenauer of Ossian, Indiana and Alyce Miller of Roanoke, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Nicholas Burlage, Christian Burlage, Chase Eichler, Jared Eichler, Cara Eichler, Jerimi (Misty) Creager and Shae (Ryan) Long and four great-grandchildren, Colbi Robbins, Maddox Creager, Charli Creager and Myles Long.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Gloria Baker Eichler in 1999 and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Rose Burlage.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Clear Lake Lutheran Church, Fremont, Indiana with Pastor Tim Miller officiating.

Burial will be in Clear Lake Lutheran Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana with Military Honor’s by the Fremont American Legion Post 257.

Visitation will be from 4-8 PM, Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Clear Lake Lutheran Church, Fremont, Indiana and from 10-11 AM Thursday prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be made in Kenneth’s memory to the Clear Lake Lutheran Church, Fremont, Indiana or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
