Kevin Reid Parrish

Kevin Reid Parrish, 75, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at his home.

Kevin was born May 8, 1949, in Angola, Indiana to Jack C. and Thelma Maxine (Goodrich) Parrish.  He graduated from Angola High School in 1967 and attended Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana.

Kevin was proud to have served in the United States Marine Corp.  He served during the Vietnam war and was the recipient of the Purple Heart Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal to name a few.

Kevin married Tonia R. Schimmel on January 23, 2000.

Kevin was an outdoorsman.   He enjoyed deer hunting and mushroom hunting.  He also was an avid fisherman and was often seen going fishing rain or shine.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his loving wife of 24 years, Tonia R. Parrish, of Angola, Indiana; two daughters, Angel M. (Bryan) Foster of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Joeli N. (Gary) Lane of Atlanta, Georgia and his three beloved grandchildren, Teegan (Ben) Schwartz of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Cameryn Foster of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Jordan Edmonson of Colorado and one precious great-granddaughter, Everly Schwartz.  Also surviving are his brother, Reginald K. (Julie) Parrish of Glendale, Arizona and his sister, Brynn R. Rose of Pleasant Lake, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Roxanne Parrish and brother, Michael L. Parrish.

A Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana with Rev. Daphne Derbyshire officiating. 

Visitation will be from 10-11 AM on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Military Honors, by the Fremont American Legion Post 257 Honor Guard and the United States Marine Corp. Honor Guard, will be immediately following the service at the funeral home.
