Larry J. Stevenson

Larry J. Stevenson, 86, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2024, at his son’s home.

Larry was born on March 29, 1938, in Angola, Indiana to Charles L. and Mable L. (Powers) Stevenson.  He attended Angola High School.

He married the love of his life, Carolyn Louise Loomis on March 16, 1962.

Larry worked for over 35 years before retiring as a lineman for Steuben County REMC.  He was the grounds manager for Jimmerson Shores Corp. in Angola, Indiana.

Larry was a member of the Angola Christian Church.

He enjoyed working and helping people.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his sons, John C. Stevenson of Orland, Indiana and Dennis (Amber) Stevenson of Angola, Indiana; his two beloved grandchildren, Blake (Ashley) Stevenson of Fremont, Indiana and Kayla (Spencer) Lake of Angola, Indiana and his three precious great-grandsons, Carson, Graham and Miles with one great-grandson, Parker, on the way.  Also surviving is his brother, David (Regina) Stevenson, of Angola, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 60 years, Carolyn Stevenson on November 1, 2022, and brother Michael Stevenson 2003.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola Indiana with John Coney, Minister officiating.

Visitation will be from 10-11 AM, Tuesday, July 2, 2024, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Powers Cemetery, Angola, Indiana.

Memorial donations may be made to the Lake James Christian Camp and Retreat Center, Angola, Indiana.
