Laurie J. Broxon, 76, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Angola, Indiana.
Laurie was born on May 8, 1948, in Auburn, Indiana to George B. and Ruby J. (Taylor) Rogers. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1966 and received her associate’s degree from Indiana Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Laurie married the love of her life, Mark E. Broxon, on July 7, 1972.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
Laurie worked for the MSD of Steuben County in there GED program.
She was an artist. Laurie liked working with many mediums, but her favorites were oil paints, chalk and colored pencils. She enjoyed reading and taking care of her landscape and flowers. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was often found playing with her grandchildren on the ground or joining in their activities.
Surviving is her loving husband of 52 years, Mark E. Broxon of Hamilton, Indiana; two beloved daughters, Stacey (Kelly) Dean of Middlebury, Indiana and Karla (Scott) Rowlison of Angola, Indiana; her three precious grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Sophia Rowlison, Nathan Rowlison and Jasmine Dean. Also surviving is her brother, Larry Rogers of Angola, Indiana, sister, Debbie Mason of Fremont, Indiana and by her stepsiblings.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Steve Mason.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the Life Changing Church in Angola, Indiana.
