Lloyd "Butch" M. Hulbert

ANGOLA — Lloyd “Butch” M. Hulbert, 82, of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Angola, Indiana.

Lloyd was born on Jan. 31, 1942, in Hicksville, Ohio, to Elmer and Cleo (Scott) Hulbert Rickerd.

He graduated from Butler High School in 1960.

Lloyd was a printer for Moores Business Forms in Angola, Indiana, for 35 years, before retiring.

Lloyd was proud to have served his country in the United States Air Force.

He was a member of Orland American Legion Post 423. Lloyd also was a Leader and Hog Barn Superintendent for the Steuben County 4-H Club and also was the Shooting Sports Leader for Branch County 4-H Club.

He enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years, Vivian K. Hulbert, of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; his children, Christopher M. (fiancé Clara Messer) Hulbert, of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, and Cynthia E. (husband Patrick) Baughman, of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; his five beloved grandchildren, Alana (husband Dimitri) Tong, Laureen (husband Sean) White-Smith, Jarrett Hulbert, Nicholas (wife Ashley) Baughman and Mikayla Baughman; and five precious great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Hulbert and Cleo Hulbert Rickerd; and 10 siblings, Arlie Hulbert, Olen Hulbert, Loren Hulbert, Carl Hulbert, Glen DeWayne Hulbert, Lola Rickard, Evelyn Hulbert, Darrell Hulbert, Richard Rickerd and Ronald Hulbert.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Weicht Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1:30-3 p.m., on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial with Military Honors will be at Pleasant Lake Cemetery, Pleasant Lake, Indiana, immediately following the service.
