Lois M. Dehr, 93, formerly of Snow Lake, Fremont, Indiana passed away on May 7, 2024 at Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Born in Chicago, Illinois on November 24, 1930, to Fred and Helen (Bosworth)Ziethen, Lois attended Chicago schools and graduated from Amundsen High School.
On May 26, 1951, she married Henry Dehr, Jr. in Chicago. They built their lives together and nurtured a family there for many years, eventually relocating for job transfers to Indiana, back to Illinois, back to Indiana, to Ohio, and lastly returning to Indiana where they enjoyed life for many years on Snow Lake.
Lois actively supported new ventures in Steuben County over several decades including Angola YMCA, Fremont Public Library and the initial development and continued growth of Peace Lutheran Church, Fremont.
Lois is survived by her children Diana Patterson, Patty (Robert) Jonason, Daniel (Karol) Dehr and David Dehr, by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Gloria Bazan, a nephew and niece and their spouses and families.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry and brother-in-law Leonard Bazan.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 18 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Weicht Funeral Home, Angola.
Funeral service will be at Peace Lutheran Church, Fremont, on Sunday, May 19 at 2:00pm with visitation at 1:00pm until time of service.
