Lowell G. Hancock, 75, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, in Canton, Ohio.
Lowell was born on October 8, 1948, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to William G. and Florence (Buell) Hancock. He graduated from North Side High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1966. Lowell received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.
Lowell married the love of his life, Libanos Wassihun, on December 31, 1976.
He worked as an International Tax Specialist for the IRS for over 40 years, retiring in 2011.
Lowell enjoyed reading, especially the Bible, and researching scriptures. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Surviving is his loving wife of 47 years, Libanos Hancock of Canton, Ohio, his three beloved children, Lowell Hancock of Columbus, Ohio, Natasha (Brandon) Hannum of Toledo, Ohio and Joel (Allison) Hancock of Cleveland, Ohio. Also surviving are his siblings, Jack E. (Angie) Hancock of Fremont, Indiana, Kirk D. (Irene) Hancock of Fremont, Indiana, Betty J. Hancock of Muncie, Indiana and Mary K. (Dennis) Rider of Fremont, Indiana, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul L. Hancock.
Funeral Services will be Friday, July 5, 2024, at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana with Rev. Kirk Hancock officiating.
Visitation will be from 11-12 Noon on Friday, July 5, 2024, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Dygert Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
