ANGOLA
Marceille Lorraine “Marty” Mowry, 80, of Angola passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, Angola.
Marty was born August 26, 1934 in DeKalb County. She married Lionel “Bud” Mowry on December 23, 1955.
She had owned Metz Beauty Shop for 10 years, worked at the Angola State Bank and worked at NIPSCO for over 28 years retiring on January 1, 1993.
She was a member of the Angola Christian Church, Angola American Legion Auxiliary Post 31, Former member of the Angola Women of the Moose, RSVP, Steuben County Literacy Coalition, the Steuben County Jail Ministry and past president of the Clerical Steel Workers Union through NIPSCO.
Surviving are her husband Lionel “Bud” Mowry of Angola, Indiana; her daughter Dani Lou (Jon) Parrish of Angola, Indiana, two sisters Marilyn Nelson of Florida and Lois Douglas of Angola, Indiana, brother-in-law Henry “Hank” Lower and two grandchildren Dr. Seth Parrish of Indianapolis, Indiana and Vance Parrish of the US Army, stationed at Fort Wainwright in Alaska.
She was preceded in death by her mother Mary (Hills) Bebee Shatto, her step-father Guy Shatto, a sister Beverly Lower and two brothers Ronald Beebe and Gerald Beebe.
Graveside Services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Indiana. Officiating will be Pastor John Coney and Pastor Mike Hamm.
Memorials may be made in Marty’s memory to the Angola Christian Church.
