Margy Bressler Obituary

Margy Lee Bressler, 78, of Angola, Indiana, passed peacefully from this life to the next while holding the hand of her loving daughter on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

Marge was born on December 29, 1945, in Wauseon, Ohio to Maurice D. and Janet (Pickles) Barden.  She spent her childhood on the family farm in Lyons Ohio, graduating from Lyons High School, and the Toledo Academy of Beauty Culture.

Marge married Gary Bressler in 1965, and although no longer married, devotedly cared for him in his last days as he lost his battle with cancer in 2003.

Marge was a woman of incredible strength, fierce loyalty, and razor-sharp wit.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Audra (Scott) Lehman; grandchildren, Taylor (Andrew) Carlsgaard of Zionsville, Indiana, Dylan (Jessica) Warren of Fishers, Indiana and Brady Warren of Angola, Indiana; step-grandchildren, Sawyer (Kate) Lehman of Indianapolis, Indiana, William Lehman of Angola, Indiana and Sydney Lehman of Angola, Indiana and two great-grandchildren Audrey Carlsgaard and Adeline Carlsgaard.  Also surviving are her two siblings, Maureen Peabody of Florida and Maury (Connie) Barden of Lyons, Ohio, her beloved nieces and nephews, Jesse, Jake, Katie, Annie, Ellie, Brent and Brook, childhood best friend Kathy and special cousins Lois and Ina Rae.

She was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved angels who went before her, daughter Laura Lee Hutson and son Jess Bressler.

.

She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren, working in factories as a young mother, managing the local grocery store, and dedicating 15 years as an administrative professional, retiring from the Five County Alcohol and Drug Program.

She dearly loved her dogs Daisy Mae and Swookie, her extended family and Liberty Center area friends, tootling around in her Kia, putzing around in her yard, and spending time shopping and dining out with her children and grandchildren.

To know her was to most certainly love her, and laughter abounded whenever Marge was around. She was a talented pianist who could play by ear, had a love for children, HGTV, antiques, morning coffee in LC, Jerry Lee Lewis, and especially her brother Maury and beloved “Daddy” and mother.

Her greatest love and enduring legacy was her children and grandchildren, passing down that incredible sense of humor and passionate love for family to the next generations. She will be dearly missed, but always remembered for the many lives she touched in her 78 years on this side of Heaven.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the Angola United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Terrell officiating.

Visitation will be from 1-2 PM on Sunday, December 8, 2024, prior to the service at the church.
