Maria Cristina Vilchis Garduño

Maria Cristina Vilchis Garduño, 53, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at her home.

She was born on February 13, 1970, in Mexico City, Mexico to Manuel Gonzales and Matilde Garduño.

Maria Cristina graduated from high school in Mexico and also college with a secretarial degree.

She married Manuel Carmona on November 9, 1990.

Maria Cristina enjoyed singing and was an excellent cook.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She was a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Angola, Indiana.

Surviving is her husband, Manuel Carmona of Angola, Indiana; sons, Bryan (Raquel) Carmona of Angola, Indiana; Christian Carmona of Angola, Indiana and Emmanuel (Alicia) Carmona of Angola, Indiana; her beloved grandchildren, Matteo Carmona Luna, Sabastian Carmona Luna, Aranza Carmona Luna and Sofia Carmona Luna; siblings, Guillermina Vilchis, Teresa Vilchis, Josefina Vilchis, Manuel Vilchis and Elizabeth Vilchis all of Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 3-7 PM on Friday, April 28, 2023, and 10-11 AM on Saturday, April 28, 2023, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Angola, Indiana.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Angola, Indiana.

Burial will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Indiana.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
