It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of my mother, Marietta Treadway, who peacefully departed this world on March 9, 2025, at the age of 81.
A beacon of love, strength and unwavering support, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and a heart that touched countless lives.
Marietta was born on June 18, 1943, in Hillsdale, Michigan to Donald and Maxine (McConnell) Lininger. She was the oldest daughter of five children.
Marietta was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Coldwater, Michigan. She was a dedicated youth ventures leader at church for many years.
She had worked at Moore’s Business Forms and Tenneco before retiring.
Marietta was a passionate artist and by trade a kind and devoted mother. She always had a smile for everyone and a listening ear for those in need. She was so full of wisdom and a heart full of love, she will truly be missed.
Marietta lived a life filled with joy, resilience, and a deep love for her family. She was the loving mother to Amanda “Mandi” Treadway and cherished grandmother to Joshua Seiler and Brantley Jackson. Also surviving are her sisters, Edith Potts, Janine Lininger and Linda Castle. She loved all children like her own, like her Niece Donna Sullivan and her son, Keyth Sullivan and nephews, Frank Sullivan and Grant Powell II.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Cheryl Powell.
A Celebration of Life is pending for a later date.
