Marion Eberhardt (nee Williams), 85, passed away peacefully at home September 7, 2010. She was born in South Bend, Indiana March 20, 1925 and grew up in Lansing, Michigan. After graduating from Michigan State University, she taught home economics in Petoskey, Michigan for several years before meeting her husband, Arthur Eberhardt and settling in Angola, Indiana. During her life, Marion ran a small business selling hand-made nature crafts. She also volunteered in many capacities; she was a recording secretary for Acres Land Trust, led Brownies and Girl Scouts, and was very active in her church community. She enjoyed singing, camping, hiking, gardening, and riding her bicycle. Marion and Art built a log cabin together in her beloved Northern Michigan and even in her later years as illness took its toll, she was always ready to pack her bags and head for the woods. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Arthur, son Roger (Jan) Eberhardt of Haslett Michigan, daughter Laurie Eberhardt (Peter Martin) of Valparaiso, Indiana and grand children Peter, David, Eli, and Sylvie. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Willy Williams, and daughter, Ellen Eberhardt.
