Martha McClish Martin, 102, of Auburn and formerly of Angola died Thursday, April 7, 2011, at DeKalb Memorial Hospital in Auburn. Mrs. Martin was a homemaker. She was a 1927 graduate of Salem Center High School. Mrs. Martin taught Sunday school for many years and was active in church work until she was physically unable to do so. She was born Dec. 8, 1908, in Salem Center in Steuben County to Isaac and Mabel (Ammerman) Bodley. She married Virgil McClish on Jan. 17, 1928. He preceded her in death June 24, 1988. She then married Robert Martin on Oct. 14, 1989. He died in January 2007. Surviving are a son, James (Connie) McClish of Martinsville; three daughters, Rebecca (Richard) Wisner of Auburn, Marianne Jenkins of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Sally (George) Bartindale of Richmond; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Bodley; a sister, Katy Boyer; a son-in-law, Wally Jenkins; and three grandsons, Greg, Matt and Craig.
