Marvin T. "Tom" Latson

Marvin T. "Tom" Latson, 84, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He retired from the US Air Force in 1972 after 20 years of service. He also retired from the Indiana Department of Transportation in 1991 after 15 years of service. He was a member of the Angola American Legion Post 31; George Anspaugh Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; Angola Moose Lodge and the US Air Force Sergeants Association. He was born December 30, 1927 in Angola, Indiana to Guy W. and Ella M. (Noragon) Latson . Mr. Latson married Wilma Jean Taylor on March 9, 1985. Surviving are his wife Wilma Latson of Angola, Indiana; 2 sons Jack Latson of Los Angeles, California; Robert Latson of Quincy, Michigan; 3 daughters Gloria Sanford of Seattle, Washington; Sherrie Gardner of Richardson, Texas; Paula Roxey of Knox, Indiana; two step-sons Robert Spice of Fort Wayne, Indiana; William Spice of Auburn, Indiana; one brother Jack Latson of Montpelier, Ohio; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, one sister Lois Hoyer and one brother William Latson. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana with Pastor Jim Hulbert officiating. Burial will be in Circle Hill Cemetery with Military Graveside Services by the Angola American Legion Post 31 and the George Anspaugh Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, March 12, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
