Melanie D. (Kocher) Pollard

Melanie D. Pollard, 74, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully, with all her family by her side, on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Melanie was born on December 26, 1948, in LaGrange, Indiana to Alvin and Pauline (Gaskill) Kocher.  She graduated from Prairie Heights High School. 

Melanie married the love of her life, Pearce C. “Ted” Pollard on October 17, 1968.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mel enjoyed crocheting and sewing.  But most of all she liked spending time with all her family and friends and hanging out at the farm.

Surviving are her children, Chad (Jodi) Pollard of Fremont, Indiana and Shawna Pollard of Fremont, Indiana; her sister, Judy Clark of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; her beloved 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Pearce “Ted” Pollard on November 14, 2013.

Funeral Services are 12:00 Noon, Monday, February 13, 2023, at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana with Pastor Norman Fuller officiating.

Visitation will be from 11-12 Noon, Monday, February 13, 2023, at the funeral home prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made out to the family in care of Chad Pollard.
