Michelle L. (Dirrim) Ankney

Michelle L. Ankney, 44, of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025,  from complications of surgery because of a stroke.

Michelle was born, June 24, 1980, in Coldwater, Michigan to Harry Fred and Terry Ann (Wilson) Dirrim.  She graduated from Angola High School in 1998 and received her Bachelor of Business Administration for Tri-State University.

On June 7, 2003, Michelle married the love of her life, Joshua C. Ankney and together raised three beautiful children.

She had been a manager in retail before becoming a stay-at-home mom, which she cherished doing.

Michelle is a member of Stroh Church of Christ.

She enjoyed gardening, listening to Christian music and spending time with her family, especially her grandson.

Surviving are her loving husband of 21 years, Joshua C. Ankney of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; her beloved children, Elizabeth “Libby” Ankney, Noah Ankney and Stella Ankney all of Pleasant Lake, Indiana and her precious grandson, Alejandro Ankney-Flores.  Also surviving are her parents, Harry Fred and Terry Ann Dirrim of Hamilton, Indiana and brother Brian (Jennifer) Dirrim of Kendallville, Indiana.

Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Weicht Funeral Home in Angola, Indiana.  Pastor Mike Hamm will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 10-11 AM, Saturday, February 15, 2025, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Stroh Church of Christ or to the family in care of Joshua Ankney.
