Nona "Lee" (Nichols) Guise

Nona “Lee” Guise, 84, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Angola, Indiana.

Lee was born on May 28, 1940, in Coldwater, Michigan to Corvis Nichols and Emma (Keyes) Coolman. 

She was the bookkeeper for MSD of Steuben County before retiring in 2000.

Lee married the love of her life, Alan Douglas Guise, on January 9, 1971.

She was a member of the Angola American Legion Post 31 Auxiliary and the Women of the Angola Moose Lodge 1568.

Lee enjoyed working in her garden with her roses and other flowers and watching the birds flying between the various birdhouses that she had at home.  Most of all she loved spending time and socializing with her friends and family.

Surviving are her sons, Jeffrey (Diana) Castleberry of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Scott Fouts of Carmel, Indiana, Chuck Fouts of Angola, Indiana and Todd Fouts of Kalamazoo, Michigan; daughters, Michele (Tom) Shuford of Angola, Indiana and Shana Guise of Angola, Indiana; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are her sisters, Brenda Runyon of San Diego, California and Jacqueline Rosine of Sausalito, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband of 50 years, Alan Douglas Guise on October 24, 2021.

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 Noon on Monday, August 19, 2024, at the Weicht Funeral Home in Angola, Indiana with Erick Strasser officiating.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 12 Noon on Monday, August 19, 2024, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Indiana.
