Norma "Normie" Lou (Richardson) Beattie

Norma Lou “Normie” Beattie, 89, of Angola, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia.

Norma was born on March 14, 1935, in Angola, Indiana, to Joseph William Sr. and Jesse Irene (Rowley) Richardson. 

She married the love of her life, Roger Eugene Beattie, on October 7, 1952.

Surviving are her daughters, Sherri (Dennis) Shade of Kennesaw, Georgia and Janet (Edward) Waldschmidt of Fort Wayne, Indiana; her 5 beloved grandchildren, Jennette Beattie, Charles Beattie, and Kami Miller, Alexander Shade, and Alisana Shade, Six great-grandchildren, along with three great great-grandchildren; and her brother, Steven (JoAnn) Richardson of Hillsdale, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 56 years, Roger Eugene Beattie in 2009, her daughter, Debra Kay Beattie in 1962, her son, Bruce Allan Beattie in 2020; one granddaughter, Brittany Hope and her siblings, Nancy Jane Richardson, Betty Maxine Richardson, Barbara Joan Richardson, Clarence C. “Bill” Richardson, Laura Ellen Roemer, Mary Irene Walker, Joseph William “Jay” Richardson Jr., Katherine Louise Bellinger, Willa Jean Depue, and Shirley Arlene Neely.

Visitation will be 11-1 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana.

Graveside services will be immediately following the visitation on, Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Circle Hill Cemetery in Angola, Indiana.  Michael D. Booher officiating.
