Oral Richard Evans

Oral Richard Evans, 93, of Angola, Indiana, died on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Heritage of Fort Wayne.

He was part-owner of Control Concepts Corporation of Binghamton, New York.

Oral was born April 21, 1923 in Des Moines, Iowa to James Dean Evans and Gladys Bernadette (Goodall) Evans Schultz.  He married Leneya R. Carlson on October 17, 1944.

Oral was a member at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Angola, Indiana and the Knights of Columbus.

He served his country in the US Navy during WWII.

Surviving is his wife, Leneya R. Evans of Angola, Indiana; son, Richard D. (Nancy) Evans of Valparaiso, Indiana; daughter, Theresa (James) Hornbacher of Angola, Indiana; sister, Genelle Max of Denver, Colorado; five grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Glenn Evans and Robert Evans.

Funeral Mass will be11:00 AM, Friday, February 24, 2017 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Angola, Indiana with Father Bob Showers officiating.

Burial will be at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 10-11 AM, Friday, February 24, 2017 prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church or to Boys Town.
