Patti Jean Waite, 73, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2026, at her daughter's home in LaGrange, Indiana.
Born May 25, 1952, in Angola, Indiana, Patti was the daughter of Frederick L. “Fred” and Mary Ellen (Green) Kain. She grew up in Orland and graduated from Prairie Heights High School.
Patti married the love of her life, Ronald Lynn Waite, on December 4, 1971. Together they raised two beautiful children on the farm.
She attended Life Changing Church in Angola, Indiana.
Patti was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed shopping, being outdoors absorbing the sun, mowing the lawn and being at the beach when she was able. She never missed her Saturday morning coffee dates with her daughter-in-law. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving is her daughter, Raelynn (Tim) Moore of LaGrange, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Rebecca “Becky” Waite of Angola, Indiana; her 5 beloved grandchildren, Lane (Maya) Waite of Angola, Indiana, Lucas Waite of Angola, Indiana, Austin Moore of LaGrange, Indiana, Ethan Moore of LaGrange, Indiana and Owen Moore of LaGrange, Indiana; and her 4 precious great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Martin (Donna) Kain of Claypool, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 54 years, Ronald Lynn Waite on February 4, 2026; her son, Ryan Waite on July 8, 2025, and her siblings, Kathryn Ann Kain, Kenneth Kain, and Curtis Kain.
Funeral Services will be at 12 Noon on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 11-12 Noon on Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana.
