Richard loved to hunt and fish. In late spring and all summer, he could be found fishing the waters of Lake Erie from one of his boats.
On April 1, 2000, he married Linda (Yates) Dailey. Together they enjoyed traveling, antiquing, car shows, and once in awhile a garage sale along the way. In 2013, he and Linda moved from Catawba Island, Ohio, to Crooked Lake, near Angola, to the house he built.
He is survived by his wife Linda, of Angola; a daughter Marni Boyd of Downers Grove, Illinois; a son Tony (Julia) of Berlin Heights, Ohio; two stepchildren, Brad (Kristie) Dailey of Angola, and Amy (James) Stewart of Savannah, Texas.
