Richard “Dick” R. Holiday, 91, of Flint, Indiana, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Cameron Health in Angola, Indiana.
Born July 5, 1934, in Branch County, Michigan, he was the son of Ray W. and Wava M. (Abbott) Holiday. He graduated from Flint High School.
Dick married Nancy H. Brown on July 17, 1955.
He worked for the Steuben County Highway Department for 40 years. He had been the Superintendent before retiring.
Dick was a member of Restorations Ministries in Angola, Indiana and of the Orland Lions Club.
In his early years, Dick enjoyed working on his farm, raising beef cattle. He enjoyed watching deer in the field and spending time with his family.
Surviving is his daughter, Cynthia Marker of Angola, Indiana; three grandchildren, Leisa (Jeremy) Fluke of Indiana, Tavis (Laura) Marker of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Lyndsae Carper of Ashley, Indiana, 5 great- grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy Holiday on January 23, 2000, and his siblings, Helen M. Eyster, Raymond J. Holiday, Rachel J. Henderson, Roland “Bud” Holiday, and Leah E. Butz.
Visitation will be from 3-7 PM, Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the Weicht Funeral Home in Angola, Indiana.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Warren officiating.
Burial will be in Flint Cemetery, Flint, Indiana.
