Rita May Hicksenhiser

Rita May Hicksenhiser, 77, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at her home.

 She was born on February 15, 1945, in Coldwater, Michigan to William U. and Opal M. (Wiler) Hicksenhiser. 

 She retired from A.C.M. in Coldwater, Michigan.

 Rita was an excellent cook, she enjoyed line dancing and loved to hang out at the pool with her family.  Rita loved spending time with her family and her fur baby, Winston.

Surviving are her sons, Regan (Tarma) Van Aken of Fremont, Indiana and Perry (Kiri) Van Aken of Ohio; daughter, Corina (Cordell) Gray of Fairbanks, Alaska; brother, Donald Hicksenhiser of Montgomery, Michigan and sister, Monna Ewing of Jonesville, Michigan.  Also surviving are her two beloved grandsons and four great-grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Gwendolyn Ferguson, Billie Green and Linda Thomas and brother, Dennis Hicksenhiser.

 There will be no services.

 Memorial donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
