Robert L. Pipoly, 74, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, formerly of Angola, Indiana, passed away Friday, June 14, 2024, at Park Place Senior Living in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Robert was born on May 18, 1950, to Carl and Naomi (Vetter) Pipoly. He graduated from Camden Frontier High School in 1968 and attended Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana.
Robert married Mari Y. Leader on September 19, 1970.
Robert worked for 42 years in maintenance for the Athletic Department at Tri-State University until 2012. He then worked for the YMCA of Steuben County until 2022 when he retired.
He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Robert enjoyed watching all kinds of car racing. He was a sports fanatic and enjoyed watching his grandson’s sports and following Trine University. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Surviving is his daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Klug of Fort Wayne, Indiana, one grandson, Brandon Klug and his brother, David Pipoly of Camden, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mari Y. Pipoly on March 22, 2009, and grandson, Drew Klug.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Indiana.
Memorials may be given in Robert’s memory to Community Humane Shelter of Steuben County.
