It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Robert Lee Strong Sr. on December 19, 2023.
Robert, a resident of Angola, Indiana, was born on August 22, 1942.
Robert is survived by many loved family members- His two dear children, Theresa Strong and Robert Strong Jr. His beloved grandchildren, Cassondra (Jeremy) Skidgel, Alexander (Asti) Skidgel, and Lyndsey (Joshua) Cook. As well as three great grandchildren.
He joins his beloved wife, father, mother, and brothers in Heaven.
Robert was an extraordinary outdoorsman and always stated he was born 100 years to soon. He was admired by many for his skills in building traditional bows and arrows.
Robert built many beautiful homes from the ground up for his wife as they both truly enjoyed the beauty and wilderness of upper Michigan.
However, one of Robert’s greatest accomplishments was earning the title of “Grouch” given to him by his grandchildren and carried on by his great grandchildren. A title that was earned through funny jokes and pranks.
No services will take place, as requested, but we do appreciate your love and support during this difficult time.
Robert, AKA the “Grouch” will forever be loved and forever remembered.
