Ronald Philip Gordon, 91, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Born on June 19, 1934, on the family farm in Smith Township, Whitley County, Indiana, he was the son of Lawrence and Elizabeth (Carter) Gordon. He graduated from Churubusco High School.
Ron married the love of his life, Deanna J. “Dee” Shannon on June 17, 1995.
He worked for United Trucking Company and then for Consolidate Freightways before retiring.
Ron was a member of both the Fremont Moose Lodge 2387 and the Angola Moose Lodge 1568 and The Sons of the American Legion, Fremont American Legion Cassel Post 257. He enjoyed bowling and had been in several bowling leagues over the years.
Surviving are his sons, John Gordon of Kendallville, Indiana and Roger Gordon of Avilla, Indiana; his stepchildren, Kevin Robinson of Fremont, Indiana, Kelly Robinson Brown of Belleville, Illinois and Kris Robinson of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; brothers, David Gordon of Columbia City, Indiana, Allen Gordon of Knapp Lake, Indiana and Thomas Gordon of Furth, Australia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Deanna J. “Dee” Gordon; sons, Michael W. Gordon, Paul A. Gordon, Scott Gordon; daughter, Carla D. Gordon; stepson, Craig Robinson; and his siblings, Robert Lee, Lowell and Carolyn.
Following Ron’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
