Obituary

ANGOLA

Shirley Ann Mowry, 80, of Angola passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015 at Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Angola.

She was born July 9, 1935 in Muncie to William and Glenna (Blansett) Predmore.  She married Eugene Mowry on April 5, 1975.

Shirley graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City, Indiana and completed the Transportation and Traffic Management Course at IPFW, Fort Wayne.

She retired from General Electric Company, Specialty Transformer Operation in 1992 after 35 years of service.

Shirley was a member of the Angola United Methodist Church and the Susanna Wesley Circle.  She was a volunteer for the Cameron Hospice and Home Health.  She was on the Advisory Board for the Women's Fund at the Steuben County Community Foundation and a member of the Board of Directors for the Jimmerson Lake Association.  She was a member of the Trinity Chapter #576 Order of Eastern Star, Steuben County Women's club and for several years active in several Fort Wayne traffic clubs including the Central States Traffic Club.

She enjoyed winters in Orange Beach, Alabama and was active in the Indiana Club and the Gulf Shores United Methodist Church and the Orange Beach United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her step-son Scott T. (Arlene) Mowry of North Tonawanda, New York; two grandsons Kevin Mowry of Syracuse, New York and Greg Mowry of Indianapolis; her step-mother Donna Kline of Syracuse, Indiana two sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father William Predmore; mother Glenna Blansett Predmore Shewman, step-father Walter Shewman and her husband Eugene Mowry on December 30, 2005.

Memorial service will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Angola United Methodist Church with Pastor Tim Terrell officiating.

Do to road construction visitation will be from 4-7 PM, Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Angola United Methodist Church.

Memorials in Shirley's memory may be made to the Angola United Methodist Church, Cameron Hospice and Home Health, Angola or the Steuben County Community Foundation for the Women's Fund.
