Steven L. Fisher

Steven L. Fisher, 60, of Angola, Indiana, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Cameron Health in Angola, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family.

Born August 13, 1965, in LaGrange, Indiana, he was the son of Gale L. and Gloria M. (Boyd) Fisher.  Steven graduated from Prairie Heights High School in 1984.

He married the love of his life, Dianne T. Hantz, on August 18, 2001.

Steven worked for Quality Carriers Inc.

He enjoyed Sprint Car Racing and was pit-crew for Hank Lower in his early years. He also enjoyed golfing and anything to do with sports, especially The Chicago Bears and The Detroit Tigers. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, they were his whole world.

Surviving is his loving wife of 24 years, Dianne T. Fisher of Angola, Indiana; his children, Felicia (Aaron) Gendron of Auburn, Indiana, James “Jimmy” Walker Jr. of Fremont, Indiana and Austin (Codee Slater) Hartman of Celina, Ohio, an “adopted” Daughter Amanda Babila, of Ashley, IN and 9 beloved grandchildren, Bentley, Zelda, Wyatt, Lucas, Vivianne, Colton, Elijah, and Melanie with an “adopted” grandchild Zander. Also surviving are his siblings, James (Pamela) Fisher of Angola, Indiana, Jeanne (Adam) Teegarden of Stanley, North Carolina and Julie Moor of Tipp City, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jeffrey L. Fisher.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana. 

Visitation will be from 11-12 Noon, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial donations in Steven’s name may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Angola, Indiana.

Final resting place will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Indiana.
