Sue Ann (Rowe) Myers

Sue Ann Myers, 93, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, at Astral at Auburn, in Auburn, Indiana.

Born on February 16, 1933, in Garrett, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Cletus Vae (McKinley) Rowe.

Sue graduated Salutatorian of the Class of 1950 from Garrett High School, Garrett, Indiana. Sue married the love of her life, Arthur L. Myers, on June 6, 1952.

While living in Fort Wayne, Sue earned a teaching degree from IPFW and then taught students of Ft Wayne Community Schools with prolonged absences due to long-term illnesses. Later she worked as an aide at the Hear Preschool of Ft Wayne Community Schools.

Later in life, Sue and Arthur moved to Lake Gage in Angola, Indiana. They became members of the nearby church, Chapel of the Lakes.

Sue became secretary for the Steuben County Lakes Council (SCLC) and performed that job for nearly 21 years. She was proud of the work done by the SCLC to preserve water quality of lakes for future generations. She enjoyed all aspects of lake life and especially loved spending time at Lake Gage with family.

Surviving are her children, Timothy (Debra) Myers of Millsboro, Delaware and Susan (Tim) Scheidt of Warsaw, Indiana, her beloved grandchildren, Angela (Preston II) Miller of Delaware, Ashley (Carson) McAbee of California, Sarah Scheidt of Indiana and Andrew (Olivia) Scheidt of Illinois, and great-grandchildren, Preston Miller III, Samual Miller and Theodore McAbee. Also surviving are her brothers, Joe A. (Mary Kay) Rowe of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Russell “Bud” (Brenda) Rowe of North Point, Florida.

She was preceded by her parents; her loving husband of 61 years, Arthur L. Myers, on August 3, 2013, and her sister, Fannie Mae Knapp.

Memorial Services will be at 11:00 AM, August 3, 2026, at Chapel of the Lakes, 2955 W. Orland Road, Angola, IN 46703 with Pastor Chris Schaefer officiating.

Visitation will be from 10-11 AM, August 3, 2026, at the Chapel of the Lakes prior to the service.

A graveside committal service will take place at Lake Gage Cemetery, Angola, Indiana.
