Susan A. (Showalter) Reynolds

Susan A. Reynolds, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at her home with her family by her side.

Born July 23, 1945, in Iowa, Susan was the daughter of the late Alan B. and Anita M. (Williams) Showalter.  She graduated from Angola High School in 1963 and received her Bachelor of Education and master’s degree from Indiana University.

She married the love of her life, Gary L. Reynolds, on December 24, 1964.

Susan enjoyed being in the classroom and teaching school.  She taught for 31 years at Hendry Park Elementary School in Angola, Indiana before retiring.

Susan was a very brilliant and spiritual person.  She was a fountain of knowledge and enjoyed spreading her wisdom.

Surviving is her loving husband of 61 years, Gary L. Reynolds of Angola, Indiana, her son, Shawn (Allison) Reynolds of Fort Wayne, Indiana and her siblings, Al, Ruth and Chloe.

Following her wishes, there will be no services at this time, a Celebration of Life may be held at a later date.
