Velma Lou (Carpenter) Thomas Wilcox

Velma Lou Thomas Wilcox, 30, of Angola, Indiana passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital in Angola, Indiana.

She was born on December 27, 1989 in Paulding, Ohio to Charles Carpenter Sr. and Velma (Chain) Carpenter Spencer.

Velma just recently married, Steven A. Wilcox, on September 11, 2020.

She was an Assistant Manager at Taco Bell in Angola, Indiana.

Velma enjoyed playing Bingo, listening to music, shopping and driving around in her car.  Most of all she loved her children and loved spending time with them.

Surviving is her loving husband, Steven A. Wilcox of Angola, Indiana; mother, Velma (Gary) Spencer of Angola, Indiana; grandmother, Mallie Harris; her children, Kaelyn Thomas and Carl Thomas both of Waterloo, Indiana; step-son, Umar Luciano Wilcox, step-daughter, Riley Thomas and her siblings, Kryijztoff (Ona) Novotnaj of Monterey Bay, California, Tanya (Lee) Maurer of Columbia City, Indiana, Robert McDargh of Springfield, Ohio, Diana McDargh of Springfield, Ohio, Matthew (Lyndy) Carpenter of Ocean City, Mississippi, Charles (Shelby) Carpenter of Angola, Indiana, Lisa (Steve) Carpenter Hess and Jodie Worman and three half-sisters, Crystal (Lee) Spencer, Lacey Spencer and Hilary Spencer all of Toledo, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Carpenter Sr and grandfathers, Roger Chain and Herald Harris.

Visitation will be from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana.

Memorial donations may be made to the family, in care of Tanya Maurer, for the children.
