Viola Vivian Maugherman

Viola Vivian Maugherman, 84, of Angola, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Angola. She was born Feb. 15, 1926, in Union City, Mich., to Harley Waldo and Ola (Cockrell) Cox. She married Willard "Woody" Maugherman on Nov. 19, 1945. She worked at Aero Corp. for 22 years and at a laundromat for seven years. She was a member of the Mother of Twins Club. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald Maugherman of Angola and Alan and Sally Maugherman of Fremont, two daughters, Joyce Maugherman of Angola and Joan Maugherman of Angola; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth Ann and Henry Kintz of Orland; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Willard "Woody" Maugherman in 1999. Services will be Tuesday at 1:00PM at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, with Pastor Norman Fuller officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland. Calling will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are to Fairview Missionary Church and the Steuben County Humane Society.
