Virginia Breese Obituary

Virginia L. Breese, 86, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Cameron Health in Angola, Indiana.

Virginia was born on November 7, 1938, in Maumee, Ohio to Chester and Edith (Graham) Spencer.  She graduated from Pioneer High School in Pioneer, Ohio.

Virginia retired from Tenneco Automotive after 25 years of service.

She married George D. Breese on June 5, 1959.

Virginia was a member of Clear Lake Bible Church, Fremont, Indiana.

Virginia was always supportive and helped whenever possible.  She was always seen at activities, 4-H and Rodeo activities when her daughter and grandchildren were participating.

Her pride and joy was her stud horse.

Surviving are her daughter, Kathryn “Kathy” Surfus of Fremont, Indiana; three grandsons, Mike Herendeen of Fremont, Indiana, Casey Herendeen of Butler, Indiana and Trent (Emily) Surfus of Emmett, Michigan and one great-granddaughter, Sabrina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George D. Breese on November 11, 1999, her daughter, Debbie McFall and her brothers, Bob Spencer, Dick Spencer, Jim Spencer, Jerry Spencer and Don Spencer.

Visitation will be 3-7 PM, Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana and from 10-11 AM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to The Little Britches Rodeo of Michigan or for mementos that are not flower related, because of not being friendly to animals.
