Wendell (Gab) Dean Horn age 88, passed away on October 2, 2023 , at his home in Babbitt, Minnesota.
Gab was born in 1935 in Flint, Indiana, to Stephen and Opal (Call) Horn. He was a graduate of Angola High School of 1953.
After graduation, he immediately joined the United States Navy and served until 1957 on the U.S.S. Leary, ranking RM2.
Gab went on to study civil engineering at Tri State College in Angola, Indiana.
Fishing, hunting, and trapping were just a few among many of his hobbies.
He married his sweetie, Pam, in 1981. The love and devotion they had for each other was truly inspirational.
A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he leaves behind his wife Pam, three children; Julie Horn-Yeszin (Jeff), John Molden (Beth), Steve Horn (Lottie), three grandchildren; Jenna Surig, Chaz Bickham, Mason Molden, and mother-in-law, Wilma Hatch.
This is not goodbye, but see you later, or as Gab would say "Bye Bye and Buy Bonds!"
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 9, 2023, at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana. Pastor Michael D. Booher will be officiating.
Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 1:00 pm on Monday, October 9, 2023, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial with Military Honors by the Orland American Legion and the US Navy Funeral Honor Guard will be immediately following the funeral service at Flint Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
