Bill was on the Angola Fire Department for many years. He had worked at Charleston Metal in Waterloo, Indiana and then worked for the Steuben County Emergency Management before retiring. Bill was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an Amateur Radio Operator and a member of the Ham Radio Club. He was also a member of Sky Warn and still had an active badge in Emergency Management.
Bill enjoyed woodworking and trips with Sharon, but most of all he loved spending time with family.
Surviving is his daughter, Lisa Brown Kurtz of Garrett, Indiana; 4 beloved grandchildren, Adam DeLucenay, Jathan (Haley) DeLucenay, Jessica (Chris VanNatta) Kurtz and Christina (David) McCloud and 6 precious great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Raegan, Kali, Dawson, Gunnar and Beckham. Also surviving is his brother, Kenneth Brown of Pleasant Lake, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 58 years, Sharon L. Brown on May 28, 2021; his daughter, Tammy Brown; son-in-law, Terry Kurtz and two brothers, Richard D. Brown and Daniel L. Brown.
