Phillis J. Archbold Martz, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Angola, Indiana.

She was born in Uniondale, Indiana on June 3, 1927 to Purl and Rachael Elizabeth (Wagoner) Hite.  She married C. Duane “Archie” Archbold on September 4, 1948 and Edward Martz on January 7, 2000.

Phillis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was a member of the Angola United Church of Christ and of the New Hope Lutheran Church in Ossian, Indiana.

Surviving are her two children, Terry (Dara) Archbold of Fremont, Indiana and Lou Ann (William) Murphy of Avon Park, Florida along with three step-children.  Also surviving are five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband’s C. Duane “Archie” Archbold on April 11, 1996 and Edward Martz on July 22, 2011 and four brothers.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Indiana.  Pastor Tim Terrell will be officiating.

Memorials may be made to Donor’s Choice.

We were so sorry to hear of your Moms passing. I loved the pictures you posted on facebook. Those pictures brought back many memories of the Hollywood Landing days, Remembering all of you in Prayer.
