Charles Jacob “Chuck” Vilders, 57, of Pleasant Lake, Indiana died as a result of an automobile accident in Pleasant Lake, Indiana on Tuesday December 27, 2016.

He was a local construction worker and handyman.

Mr. Vilders was born on January 15, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan to Cornelis and Helen (Rostocky) Vilders.  He married Leanne J. Dowell on October 20, 1979.

Surviving is his father Cornelis “Neal” Vilders of Kalamazoo, Michigan; his loving wife, Leanne J. Vilders of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; two daughters, Jessica L. (Eric) Cole of Angola, Indiana and Kristina A. Vilders of Angola, Indiana; three brothers, Gregory (Paula) Vilders of Spencerville, Maryland, Michael (Cara) Vilders of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Martin Vilders of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sisters, Cathy (Jon) Hacker of Churubusco, Indiana and Cheryl Vilders of Austin, Texas and two grandchildren, Zayden Foster and Draven Cole.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Vilders.

Memorial Visitation will be from 4-6 PM, Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana.

Memorials in Chuck’s memory may be made to the donor’s choice.
